　At STGSS we work hard to ensure all pupils have the opportunity to develop to the full their potential, to acquire knowledge, and to adopt a positive attitude towards their work, their lives and their community in accordance with our school motto - Love, Wisdom & Vigour.
　 Our school is a disciplined but caring environment in which we encourage each and every one of our pupils to make the best of their own abilities. While we value the remarkable academic record of our pupils, we believe it is also equally important to inculcate in them other essential qualities such as creativity, leadership, self-reliance, critical thinking and communication skills so as to prepare them for the many demands, which will be made of them in their future working lives. With this in mind, we have designed our school programmes in such a way that our pupils are able to develop to the full not only their academic talents but also to explore their own selves within the framework of a rich programme of cross-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
　 STGSS has served the community since the seventies and pupils have benefited from the high standards, impressive achievements, warm relationships, good discipline and the strong sense of purpose we offer here. We believe our efforts have succeeded in making a difference in the lives of the pupils with whom we work. In the years ahead, we pledge to stay at the forefront of the new developments in education and to prepare our pupils to be life-long learners so that they can meet the challenges of this ever advancing knowledge-based society and the dynamically changing world.

2009年11月 校長的話
最近的日子，我接待了一位1977 年畢業校友的到訪。這位校 友是第一屆的中五畢業生，他在1985 年已移民到加拿大，在 彼邦發展。二十多年來，他從未踏足香港，這次藉著參加親 戚的婚禮，重臨離別多年的故鄉。他第一件事想到的就是回 到母校探訪，懷緬昔日在中學學習的時光。造訪當天，他攜 著珍藏了三十多年的畢業同學錄，向我展示書中內容及細說 當年往事。同學錄雖已發黃，但看著他細說校園往事的喜悅 表情及聽著一段段仿如昨日才發生的陳年往事，我深深體會 到校園的生活和學習是如何深刻地影響一個人的成長，塑造 他的個性和人生觀。我切切的盼望每一位同學都像這位校友 一樣，在中學時期擁有深刻的學習體會、愉快的同窗生活及 永誌不忘的師長教導。
中學階段是學習的黃金時間。在這個時期，同學汲取知識的 能力、領悟力、記憶力及好奇心都特別強。因此，你們要好 好把握現在的學習時間，做好學問，為將來的發展奠立良好 的根基。如果錯失了中學的黃金時光，到頭來要重新學習就 會力不從心，後悔莫及。
近來，世界各地的華人社會都為香港中文大學前校長高錕教 授榮獲2009 年諾貝爾物理學獎而高興。高錕教授研究的光導 纖維應用在網絡高速通訊方面，促成互聯網的出現，對促進 資訊世界的發展作出偉大的貢獻。同學當以高錕教授為榜 樣，學習他認真求知、謙虛學習的精神，為人類的幸福而無 私奉獻。
當前，世界面對不少的挑戰──能源短缺、全球暖化、環境 污染、人口貧窮、種族不和、戰爭危機、人權問題、貿易糾 紛及傳染病的威脅等。這些問題的出現源於人的無知、貪心、 冷漠、仇恨、自私自利、漠視別人的權利和需要。不要以為 這些問題離我們很遠，其實我們處身的香港或多或少面對著 同樣的桃戰。解決這些問題要從個人做起，除了對這些問題 有深刻的認識之外，最重要的是承擔起個人及社會的責任， 做一個尊重他人、關懷社會及對公共事務有強烈責任感的 人。誠願所有同學都人同此心，立志承擔使命，為建設更美 好、更和平的世界而努力。
