The S.3 Careers Talk on S.4 Streaming came to a successful conclusion on 6 May 2022 (Friday). The talk was conducted online in the afternoon for all S.3 parents and students, and it was highly appreciated by the participants.
To provide comprehensive careers advice for students in the talk, a whole-school approach was adopted. Principal Lam, Assistant Principals, Careers Teachers, Heads of Departments and S.3 Class Teachers gathered in a conference room to render parents and students with instant advice.
The Assistant Principal, Ms. Lau, first introduced the details of the streaming mechanism of the HKDSE electives, which was followed by the Careers Mistress, Ms. Ng’s briefing on the university entry requirements. Principal Lam then offered tips on how to make a right choice on HKDSE electives and highlighted the importance of the mutual communication between parents and children when making any decisions. Towards the end of the sharing session, she left the attendees with an inspiring quote ‘the sky is the limit for any subject or career you choose’ (科科可成功，行行出狀元). The Question-and-Answer session came afterwards and teachers from various subjects were on hand to answer queries from parents and students. We hope that students can utilize what they gained from this talk to choose the HKDSE electives that fit them.
