Inter-Class Rope Skipping Competition Enhances Mental Health
On March 19, 2025, our secondary school hosted an Inter-Class Rope Skipping Competition after school, uniting students from all five levels in a lively contest. Classes competed with enthusiasm, filling the gymnasium with jumps and cheers while building class spirit and embracing the 4Rs—Rest, Relaxation, Relationship, and Resilience—promoted by the Health Department and EDB to support mental health.
The event buzzed with energy as teams showcased their skills, supported by classmates waving banners. **Rest** underpinned their success, with students encouraged to sleep well and balance leisure, arriving refreshed. **Relaxation** came through breaks between rounds, teaching them to unwind and practice self-care amid excitement. **Relationship** thrived as students bonded with peers and teachers, strengthening ties and embracing roles within their teams, fostering a sense of belonging. **Resilience** shone when they faced setbacks, adapting with positivity and peer support, learning to handle stress.
Teachers praised the blend of fun and growth, noting how students embodied the 4Rs. The day ended with smiles and trophies, reinforcing class unity and mental well-being. This competition proved that skipping rope can do more than boost fitness—it can nurture healthier, happier minds.
