Learning Beyond the Classroom: S2 Service Learning on Life-wide Learning Days

On March 5, 2026, our Form 2 students participated in a meaningful community outreach program as part of this year’s Life-wide Learning (LWL) Days.

Coordinated by the Life-wide Learning and OLE Committee and the Guidance Committee, the day was dedicated to moving education outside the four walls of the school and into the heart of our local community.

Bridging Generations at the Elderly Center

Our S2 students visited local elderly centers to put their social responsibilities into practice. The morning was packed with activities designed to foster mutual respect and joy:

  • Joyful Interaction: Students organized and played interactive games with the seniors, creating an atmosphere of vibrant energy and laughter.
  • Active Listening: Through one-on-one “chat sessions,” students gained unique insights into the history and experiences of the older generation, bridging the gap between young and old.
  • Gifts of Care: The visit concluded with the distribution of welfare packages, a small but sincere token of our students’ appreciation for the elderly.

Core Values in Practice

The LWL Days experience allowed students to internalize two of our school’s most cherished values:

  • Benevolence: Students learned that true kindness lies in the act of giving one’s time and attention to those around them.
  • Empathy: By stepping into a different social environment, students developed a deeper understanding of the needs and feelings of others.

We are incredibly proud of our S2 students for representing the school with such warmth and maturity.
