On 9 September 2026, the entire STGSS community came together for an extraordinary learning experience as our students watched the live broadcast of ‘Tiangong Class’ (天宮課堂). The highlight of the event was an inspiring interactive session featuring Dr LAI Ka-ying, Hong Kong’s very own payload specialist aboard the China Space Station.
During the live stream, Dr LAI addressed eager questions from Hong Kong students, offering captivating insights into daily life and scientific experimentation in microgravity. Beyond demonstrating space science, she also encouraged students to build a solid foundation in maths and science, telling them to constantly equip themselves and be brave and proactive as opportunities come along.
Watching a fellow Hong Kong researcher conduct experiments in space served as a powerful reminder that dedication and curiosity know no bounds. At STGSS, we hope this remarkable lesson inspires our students to cultivate scientific rigor, dream big, and embrace interdisciplinary learning as they chart their own paths toward excellence.
