Voices of Vision: S.4–S.5 Inter-level English Public Speaking Competition 2025–26

On 6 May, our school hall was buzzing with energy during the S.4–S.5 Inter-level English Public Speaking Competition. It was a fantastic showcase of what happens when students take the lead in their own learning. After proving themselves in class-based heats, our finalists stepped up to the podium to represent the school’s core values. Our S.4 speakers shared meaningful insights on empathy and leadership, while the S.5 students really impressed us with their commitment and perseverance.

The afternoon was truly a masterclass in communication. Students didn’t just deliver speeches; they used sophisticated language and confident body language to ensure their message was memorable and persuasive. A truly impressive part of the event was the incredible ‘multimodal literacy’ on display. Rather than just standing and speaking, contestants used high-impact infographics and creative Canva posters to bring their ideas to life. Some even showed off their tech skills by using AI-generated scenarios to demonstrate how positive values look in real-world situations.
